12/7/08 Ephesians 6

Ephesians 6 is the last chapter of Ephesians. Ephesians 6 start off by talking about the concept of obeying. Then Ephesians 6 concludes the whole book by talking about armor of God. Pauls says that we received many things that will protect us from satan. For example, we received belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the readiness, shield of faith, shield helmet of salvation and sword of the Spirit through the word of God.

As I was reading the scriprture, the analogy with types of armors and the gifts we received by God was very interesting. We received these armors that are very effective and useful, and by using these armors effectively, there are no problems. However, it seems like we are not able to use these armors properly in our daily lives. People say they are suffering throughout their lives so much. If we are suffering through the world, why aren't we using these amazing resources we already possess? I believe we need to equip these resources and put it into good use by having desire to know and learn about God more.
